The Heart of Dua: Love & Forgiveness

Syed Safdar Ali Bukhari (Baba Ji) emphasized that sincere dua arises from a pure heart, overflowing with love and forgiveness. Before any supplication, one must internally forgive everyone: “Oh my Lord, I have forgiven everyone, including my enemies, so have mercy on them and grant them blessings.” Then, sit quietly, close your eyes, feel Allah’s presence, and in your heart call out “Allah, Allah, Allah” three times with deep love. This simple act opens the heart to Divine mercy and transforms dua into a powerful spiritual remedy.

Surah Rahman Therapy

Listen to Surah Rahman with focused love, preferably the recitation of Qari Abdul Basit. After listening, drink a glass of water in three sips while silently calling "Allah, Allah, Allah" in your heart. The water carries the vibrations of Divine mercy into your body, cleansing both heart and soul.

This therapy links the sound of the Qur’an with physical healing, echoing the research of Masaru Emoto on sound and water.

Qasida Burda Shareef

For neurological conditions like stroke or paralysis, Baba Ji recommended listening to Qasida Burda Shareef. Its gentle rhythmic praise of the Prophet ﷺ carries a frequency that soothes the brain. After listening, drink water in three sips, invoking Allah’s grace upon the afflicted parts.

This practice invokes the Prophet’s intercession and brings profound healing to those who cannot handle the stronger frequency of Surah Rahman.

Sufi Kalam & Dhamaal

When the heart is restless or unable to focus, soulful Sufi poetry and dhamaal prepare the soul for dua. The rhythms dissolve the ego and uplift the spirit, opening the heart to receive Divine love. After immersing yourself, sit in silence and call upon Allah with love.

This is a bridge – drawing the soul into a state of love and readiness for heartfelt prayer.

Dua: ALLAH ALLAH ALLAH

Before any dua, cleanse your heart of grudges. Forgive everyone, even enemies, saying: "O my Lord, I have forgiven everyone; grant them mercy." Then sit quietly, feel Allah’s presence, and with utmost love call His name three times in your heart: "Allah… Allah… Allah."

This inner remembrance is the ultimate dua – a pure outpouring of love and submission, making the soul a vessel for Divine mercy.

The Essence of Dua

According to Syed Safdar Ali Bukhari, dua is not merely words or ritual; it is the state of the heart. When we pray with sincerity, love, and purity of intention – forgiving others and trusting completely in Allah’s compassion – our supplications carry power. "Dua is the believer's weapon," and the sources of healing lie in Allah’s endless mercy. By combining disciplined practices (like reciting Surah Rahman or Burda and sipping water) with a loving, repentant heart, one forges an unbreakable spiritual connection. Dua becomes a living bridge between the soul and the Divine – a tool that transforms trials into blessings and surrounds the supplicant with Allah’s light.

"Go to Him with so much love, all the love you can summon… call His name with love."
